{Chinchilly, Essie}

{Buckingham Interiors + Design}

Fall has officially come to Chicago, and chilly it is!  Today it barely broke 60 degrees and what does cooler weather mean besides boots, scarves and jackets?  Autumn nail polish, of course!

Today was the first time I got my autumnal manicure/pedicure for the season, and what better color to choose than Chinchilly by Essie!  I discovered this color around this time about two years ago, and it has been a cool weather staple ever since.

Here are some of the colors that I am look forward to painting my nails this fall, and in the spirit of MG, here are some cool interiors to go along with them!

OMG Obsessed!

Per my usual evening web browsing, I stumbled across another website outfitter of all sorts of home goods and trinkets.  This time, I came across “Shop Furbish” by way of Rue Magazine, an online shelter mag that I was featured in several months ago. Greets to my friend’s, Crystal and Anne the Editor’s of one of my fave online mag’s.

I was really taken with their lighting and furniture, however I was most impressed with their gift-worthy products that are so well priced.  I know where I will be getting all of my birthday presents and hostess gifts from now on!

{Rue Magazine- May/June 2011}

I can’t get enough of Rue Magazine, possibly because it’s such a fun, cheery read.  This little feature on side tables in the May/June 2011 issue could have totally be a “skim over” but I did a double take when I saw these “wow” worthy pieces!  Some cool tables, don’t you think?

After being featured in the magazine’s first issue back in September, this online publication has become a must read for me! Had lots of fun with Crystal and co. and photographer, Werner, at the shoot in my home.  They learned a lot about my obsession with crowns :)

I’m so excited about the launch of the new online shelter mag, Rue!  It is a great mix of style, sophistication and chic trends in the design world.  Additionally, I am very honored to be featured in their September issue!  I am such a fan of mixing past with present, old with new and incorporating antiques and finds into any space.  In the feature, I take readers through my home on the North Shore of Chicago, where I have incorporated these design tenets, which I truly live by.  The text didn’t copy very well so well so flip to page 184 of the digital copy on the website to check out the feature on my home :)  You will not be disappointed by any one of the  many gorgeous pages!
