Delectable de Gournay

I am totally, completely, utterly infatuated with…

I know this hand-painted wallpaper is just about everywhere you look these days, but I still love it.  I’ve never been much of a bird person, but somehow I find myself very attracted to a wallpaper that has birds dispersed all over it!

Yes, it’s very expensive and yes, the lead time is excrutiatingly long…but that’s the price you must pay for perfection, I suppose!

De Gournay specializes in 18th century Chinoiserie and 19th century French designs.  They can alter the designs with a more modern color palette to give these classics an updated look.

The interiors below are rooms in which the designer has used de Gournay wallpaper.  Imagine the room without the paper…do you think paint would have had the same effect and jaw dropping factor that the de Gournay paper has created? Most likely not.  The pattern is what really “makes” these rooms.

Normally I don’t like to bring up Domino because I end up getting all emotional- but do you remember the beautiful cover of their decorating book? That was based off of a DG wallpaper!

Seriously. What a beautiful post. So many pictures but my faves are the Maison 21 (the chairs! the pattern! the color!) and Elle Decor. Thank you for the visual splendor!

You won’t find dog blank t-shirt on the couch in “Ask Dog Lady.” But you will find people chided for not doing right by their pets. Dog Lady tries to keep it light dog blank t-shirt while she doles out the scold. Never once in the six years of “Ask Dog Lady” has any report surfaced about a dog put in harm’s way because of advice offered in this column. If you’re a serious dog person with a serious dog problem, dog blank t-shirt Lady assumes you’ll sniff up other serious solutions.

Our dogs bring out the beast and the best in us. And Dog Lady is a mere mortal. She always admits what she doesn’t know. Heck, she can’t even dog blank t-shirt coax her terrier to roll over. But she knows what she loves: Liver breath, the clatter of claws, the butt-sniff salute, the gentle sound of lapping in the water bowl, the sacred morning walk, the contentment of listening to dog yips while drifting off to sleep, the little doggish quirks that give smiles every day, and so much more. Be good to your pets and they will be dog blank t-shirt good to you.

The technical work on the Degournay papers is great. As fauxology mentioned above the work that Griffin and Wong ( http://www.griffinandwong.com ) did with the Maison21 Bachelorette project was outstanding.

I’ve used them for a powder room and art gallery wall – they seem to have very consistent execution / QC – & fast.

thanks for the beautiful article
