Classy or Trashy?
Monday, January 25, 2010 | Category: Budget Design, Decor Accessories, Decorating, Designers, Shops and Showrooms
I was at The Great Indoors the other day and I see this wall hanging (that could also just be used as a decorative object) and I immediately thought of Mrs. Wearstler and her oh so fabulous Brass Kaleidoscope for Bergdorf’s.

So what do ya think- classy or trashy? Could I spray paint it and make it really metallic and chic? (after all, it was only $20!)
Of course it will never look nearly as good as Kelly’s accessory, but is it salvageable dear readers or does it just look like a big porcupine?

Arteriors currently has something similar in a metal wall sculpture form. Is it just me or are spikes in?

I love the idea! Besides, if it’s only $20, what’s the harm? Just a thought…. throw on some gold glitter while the paint is drying to up the glam quotient!
I definitely think the “sea urchin” thing is in… did you see Drew Barrymore’s dress @ the Golden Globes? Personally, I thought the dress was FAB!

I would definitely get it! I want to go to my Great Indoors to see if they have one there – I’ve always loved KW’s versions. Could you just set it on a table somewhere instead of hanging it?

Andi- yep! It can definitely be just set on a table or hung! That’s what I loved about it- it could go either way!
