“Design and Consign”

You would never guess that the building below is…

a consignment store?

Perched upon a hill, this funky Dallas shop, dubbed “Vinya”, was introduced to me by my realtor, Mary.  She told me that I had to stop in, as it was her favorite place to find designer decor on consignment.

I drive by this building all the time, but never in my wildest dreams did I think it housed such gorgeous furniture and accessories!  I decided to check it out on Friday and found some really interesting pieces.  It’s an incredibly unique store that is unlike most other consignment stores- and who knew that it was only a few streets over from where I live!

Here’s a lil tour around their shop, which has new and vintage furnishings, accessories, and lighting.

The first floor had a bunch of exceptional pieces that I had to hurry up and sift through right before they closed for the day.  Just when I thought I had seen it all, I was informed that the stairs did in fact, lead to a whole other level of Vinya finds!

Up we go…

If you are looking for classic pieces that make great staples in almost any home, Vinya had a bunch of them.  (I must admit, I’d love to own even one of these chairs someday!)

My dream chairs might look familiar to you…the timeless Saarinen Tulip and the Bertoia side chairs.  I’ll take one of each please!

I adore their graphic pillows…

Murano lamps?  I’ll take these too!

Call me crazy, but my favorite pieces were the two “mushroom” looking ones.  Are these stools?  Are these side tables?  Whatever they may be, I’m certainly head over heels!

These chain link tables were pretty cool too!  Would have made a great addition to Lauren’s “Chain Chain Chain” post.

Ahh acrylic, you had me at hello (literally).  They greeted you at the store’s entry!

I thought these chairs were incredibly fun; however, I would most likely re-upholster them in another fabric.   I even think they would look amazing painted in a white high gloss!
