Entry Way Inspiration…for my Mom!
Monday, July 27, 2009 | Category: Design Inspiration

I spotted this lamp today from Wisteria and it made me think of the design I’m working on for my parent’s entry. They already have a vintage Parson’s table, but I decided I wanted to skirt it a la Palmer Weiss:

I just so happen to have decent yardage of this linen fabric:

I’ll create the greek key motif using olive green groisgrain ribbon to compliment blue and white jars (also from Wisteria):

Above the table, there is not much room because of the slant of the stairs. I’d frame this etching by Anita Klebanoff in a gold bamboo frame:

Love these crystal obelisks from Williams Sonoma Home

Every entry needs a catch-all tray – I still love the faux-python version available from Maison Luxe.
There you have it Mommie…it’s simple and chic and those accessories could easily travel to a future house!

I will definitely have to take pics! My parents deserve a beautiful home…we’ve already installed all new wood floors and painted the entire house!
