Speaking of Traditional Home, I also loved this story on Barbara Barry’s Los Angeles Office. She kept her office clean without a lot of decoration in order to have a fresh palette to work with. I can attest to the fact that a cluttered office equals cluttered design.

As much as I love color, this all-white palette is really striking a chord.

Even her bulletin board is glamorous.

One more shot of their fabulous work space. Ms. Barry said she’ll even curl up on a couch in the conference room to brainstorm with her staff of 14. Sounds like a great practice to put into place! I wish I could keep my desk that uncluttered. Decorative hardware samples, countertop remnants, door samples, and drawings galore usually end up covering the surface! Looks like I could take a tip or two from the Barbara Barry offices!

Absolutely stunning! I had the opportunity this year to meet with Ms. Barry at her LA office – definitely the perfect canvas for design. She is simply amazing!

I think a workspace should try to be kept uncluttered – it really helps keep the confusion down to a minimum & time can be focused on the tasks at hand.
