Ready, Set, Fall!

Friday, September 10, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized

Here in hot muggy Houston I’m DYING for Fall weather.  Real fall weather – Oklahoma football fall weather.  Sigh.  It won’t cool down until at least November so seeing all of the fall clothing in the stores and magazines is pretty much torture.

Transitioning into fall can be tricky when temperatures are still in the 90′s, but this bedroom by Ashley Goforth (via Cote de Texas) is a great inspiration for pulling together a breezy yet fall appropriate outfit.

I’m always checking the Love21 selection online from Forever 21.  When I saw this cute silk cardigan I immediately put it in my cart…perfect for my ever growing belly.  As it gets cooler, it will be nice to layer over a black turtleneck.

I LIVE in these riding leggings from Gap.  They are soooooo comfortable and cute with everything from flats to wedges.  I can’t wait to sport them with some over-the-knee boots!

I’ve been wanting these Cleo Wedges from J Crew for a while, and now that they’re on sale (minus an extra 30% off) it was a “duh” purchase.  Trust me, in Houston, we can get away with open-toed shoes practically year round.

I’m a big fan of Nicole Richie’s House of Harlow jewelry line.  I’d love to add these pieces to my collection, now if it would only drop about 20 degrees please!

I have such a fantastic wallpaper for that bedroom scene. Textured and and special material wallpapers do so well in rooms especially one as cost as this.

Hello Lauren,
wouldn’t it be nice the Fall to set in with more bearable temperatures and maybe less humidity too? I’m really getting tired of the heat too and this high humidity too. But someday it will change. I just hope we won’t have to deal with another hurricane again since we are right it the main hurricane season.

Ok that bedroom is the perfect layout for my apt! It seems though headboards aren’t typically that tall. Do you think this was a custom headboard? Let’s have coffee soon!
