Furniture Friday: Trimmed Out Sofas

Friday, February 24, 2012 | Category: Uncategorized

Tory Burch’s moss green velvet sofa has haunted me (in a good way) for years.  I just love it.  It screams luxury to me.  What I really love is the trim detail.  Although it is “graphic” to trim a sofa like this, it can still be timeless.

Palmer Weiss’ version.  Green and velvet? Um, yes.

I love the way Sara Gilbane ran the tape trim vertically down the tuxedo sofa.

I just flipped for Christina’s slipcovered settee!

Classic in black & white.  Found via Pinterest.

Such a cute Blog! That photo of mine is from the Lux Magazine Greystone Showhouse in Beverly Hills, CA. Was such a fun project. Almost everything in that photo was custom designed and made for the room. Including my custom line of fabrics, the sofa, and that amazing chandelier. All of which are available from my website or from my store. Love your background pattern on your blog.

Nice phrasing… “Graphic”. I love it. That inlay is absolutely timeless and the color is bold enough to make it stand out and become a focal point in the room which is a great thing either way.

I agree, loved the vertical tape trims on the sofas! I’m not a big fan of green myself but the sofa sure does look comfy (especially the velvet)!
