I may still be high from my $75 West Elm Parson’s Desk purchase made via Craig’s List last week…but this chesterfield sofa is so chic!  So chic that I think it already sold…I mean at $450 – who could resist?!  I almost bought it myself  but decided to hold out for the perfect (and now most likely custom) slipcovered sofa.  It immediately reminded me of the low slung number Rachel Zoe has in her new studio…

Loves!!!

Not going to lie, I almost hyperventilated when I spotted this new mirror from Wisteria.  LOVES, LOVES, LOVES…I would kill for an antique version this big – but the pricing on those are for my clients, not me.  For $399 you get a 36 x 60″ mirror!  Amazing!

Kind of reminds me of one of my favorite living rooms of all time by Gerrie Bremermann….

My love for pretty rocks has been acutely documented on the blog. So you can imagine my excitement when I spotted these Agate Bookends/chunks at Marshall’s (both off West Gray and 1-10 & Bunker Hill).  They were priced from $12.99 – $24.99!

For some reason I saw these and thought, “Jamie Drake!”  I guess I associate all things pink and purple with him!  I think he’s about the only one who could take these from trashy to classy.

I’m not sure how many are left, but it’s worth a shot if you’re in the area!

So I fell in love with the desk the minute I saw it on Craig’s List.  I decided to create a whole “desk-scape” around this piece.  I did a great inspiration board on Photoshop, but Word Press is not agreeing with me, and it’s late, so I will just post the individual items…

Mirror Mate

I was recently introduced to the company, Mirror Mate.  Their website boasts the ability to outfit your bathroom in minutes with a custom cut frame for your “builder grade” sheet mirror already adhered to your wall.  It promises easy installation and instant results.  You could also have a glass company cut and install a simple mirror and then attach the Mirror Mate frame after the fact.

So to get the look like this bathroom by Betsy Burnham, would you try out Mirror Mate??

turquoise-pillow

MG Readers, I need your help!

I purchased this pillow (that I’ve mentioned before) on Ebay because it has been discontinued and I desperately want a second one.  After many stalker-ish calls to all the Company C locations, I found out that they actually sold all the remaining stock to TJMaxx/Marshall’s/Home Goods.

Never one to back down from a deal hunting challenge, I have already scoured all the stores remotely close to me, and so far I’ve seen the orange and lime green colorways.  The turquoise is the one that I want, so I beg you, if you see it please snatch it up for me (I’ll pay you back I promise)!

bamboo-headboard

I love searching for one-of-a-kind finds on Ebay.  When I saw this bamboo beauty I was instantly inspired to create an entire room for a young glamazon around it.  I decided to only use Ebay finds to finish off the space!

The first order of business would be to spray paint the headboard a glossy white.

hollywood-end-tables

I think these gold end tables have a youthful feel…to dress them up a little bit I would have my stone fabricator cut me a couple of carrera marble tops.

Two “Bourgie” lamps by Kartell on each table adds modern-baroque-glamour.

lucite-desk

This desk is so fabulous, but the bright blue color…not so much.  I’d have it lacquered white or robin’s egg blue ASAP.
hollywood-side-chair

I’d use this as the desk chair, I love the punchy yellow color!

pb-zebra-rug

What girly-girl doesn’t love a little animal print??  This rug would be great underfoot.

blue-opaline

The piece de resistance, a pint-size blue opaline chandelier!

Black and white stripes are always chic – I’d install this wallpaper on the ceiling.

pb-kids-bedding

Ebay has tons and tons of Pottery Barn Kids bedding…I think this is appropriate for a young girl but still a teeny bit dressy.

black-cabinets
Now for some glamorous storage – I LOVE this pair of armoires.

venetian-mirror

I love the juxtaposition of this frilly venetian mirror over the lucite desk.

These slipper chairs are just too cute to resist!  To introduce a little pattern, I’d cheat and cover them in hot pink Paradise by Quadrille.

I love, love, love the colors in these portraits…we’ll pretend they’re portraits of the young girl’s glamorous grandmothers.

pink-flamingo

I couldn’t resist this hot pink vintage flamingo!

vintage-dollhouse

Last but not least, every girl needs a dollhouse!  How fabulous is this vintage Barbie dollhouse?!

Chevron Mirror

Posted By Lauren-Houston | Apr 30, 2009 | 9 Comments | Category: Budget Design, Decor Accessories

It’s no secret that I have a slight mirror obsession. I saw this beauty and was scheming of where on earth I could put (store) it. I think a pair of these would be fabulous over a bathroom vanity.

…but I still LOVE it! I spotted the orange colorway in the Z Gallerie window last night and was completely smitten! If you couldn’t commit to the whole Greek Key look (because it’s a lot of look) then a couple of shams would really add a punch to simple white bedding.
