Milly Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear
I’m dreaming of a moody non-home office where I can meet with clients and sport this fabulous outfit head to toe. I decided to design said office…picture dark walls upholstered in a grey flannel with nailhead trim and this console…
Burl Wood & Lucite Console Table
“Graffiti Series Avenue K” by Nicole Cohen of Sketch42 would go above the console and this would be my desk…
Black Lacquer Campaign Style Desk
Comfort is key so I’d splurge on an Eames Management Chair I’d have forever.
A pair of CB2 Hancock Carbon Bookcases would store fabric samples, design books, magazines, client files etc!
A couple Red Moroccan Leather Poufs from Furbish would be scattered around for impromptu scheme selections sprawled out on the floor.
Of course I gotta have my sparkle – Sophia Chandelier by Jan Showers
A pair of these Drake Barrelback Chairs would be for guests.
I love this off kilter Vintage Moroccan Rug
I’m so obsessed with photography these days. “Chanel,” Green, Ink Jet on Canvas by Steve Miller would be my gift to myself for my new office

I’m a little obsessed with big tote bags…I like to collect them. I always need to have one handy for lugging around client notebooks, samples, paint fans, etc. I’m due for a new one so I thought I’d share some of my favorite options so far.

Ballard Designs makes great monogram-able tote bags on the cheap! These would make wonderful personalized presents.
Lands’ End Canvas Tote Bag - utilitarian but still chic
Jane Marvel - love the black and white graphic print on this bag.
Iomoi customizable tote bags available here - I LOVE these.
LL Bean Totes - many color options available

Jon Hart Tote - I actually own this tote in tan. It has served me well over the past ten years…it’s functioned as everything from a book bag in college to a travel carry-on. Love it!
Fendi Quilted Logo Tote - if your a bag snob this is a good designer option. It is available on Overstock so you can’t be that big of a snob
Goyard Tote - this is my, “I know I’ve made it when I own this bag” bag. I have about decided I would get it in orange.

“Glamour,” is a word that gets thrown around quite a bit – myself being very guilty in describing practically everything I’m drawn to as, “glamorous (which actually irritates me)” My personal design mantra is, “comfortable glamour,” and honestly I’m stilldrawn to gilded mirrors and Lucite like a tween girl to Justin Beiber.
In a design age where “Hollywood Regency” has been watered down and commercialized ad nauseum, it’s hard for me to find glamour dens that really speak to me. My jaw hit practically hit the magazine page when I saw Sally & Michel Perrin’s Parisian Flat in the latest Harper’s Bazaar (HB happens to be my favorite fashion magazine with a dang good monthly home editorial called, “A Fashionable Life”).

The custom marble patterned carpet perfectlybalances the marbled-top gilded coffee table. Mercury glass mirrors everywhere apparently reflect the floodlights of the tourist boats that float the River Seine. In short, it is my dream Parisian pied-a-terre. The gray and teal color scheme feels fresh and true glamour ooozes from this flat.
Okay, I’ll stop talking and just show you the pics! The apartment was designed by Chahan Minassian and all photos are from his website – make sure to check out the rest of his portfolio!

I immediately fell for this chic ensemble when I spotted it on Franki’s blog. I could really relate to it because as much as I love black, I do need that pop of color! My favorite part are the Chuck Taylors…so chic with tights and a mini, yet so practical for walking all over a city!
This Living, Etc. bedroom via Mimi and Meg really exemplifies the casual elegance of the woman’s outfit. I love the fur throw tossed on the bed and the pop of striped fuchsia pillows, acting as the “scarf” of the room.

{Cynthia Rowley for Roxy Wedges}
When I spotted these kaleidoscope wedges by Cynthia Rowley in the latest Lucky, I knew I had to find a room to match! I think this room by Eileen Kathryn Boyd hits the mark with its bold color, graphic pattern, and geometric accents. Now we just have to wait until April for Rowley’s line for Roxy to launch…

I don’t know which I love most…the shoe or the space! Even though I love color, my all time favorite color scheme is black + white. Clean, classic, glamorous!

When I spotted this shoe I immediately thought of the blue wall color in Carrie Bradshaw’s redecorated NYC apt. I thought I’d post a budget friendly shoe option for once – guiltless shopping right before Christmas!

What’s better than a gift guide with all ideas under $100? A guide where you could buy all of your gifts for that special Material Girl (or Guy) with just the click of the mouse. Trust me, it’s crazy out there – I should’ve done more online shopping! I feel like I just got home from combat after spending 3 plus hours at an outlet mall…shudder.
The Material Girls have created a “master” gift list so that you can wow those special ones in your life with something creative AND price conscience (seriously there are some great deals on here).
