{My Home Office Make-Over Inspiration Board}

I’m thrilled to be participating in the SYLVANIA Blogger Room Makeover Challenge.  What’s that, you ask?  Well, I had the weekend to conduct a makeover of the room of my choosing (I’ve selected my teeny-tiny home office) using a $500 gift card to Lowe’s and SYLVANIA’s Ultra A-Line LED light bulbs.

I could not be more excited about these 12 watt LED bulbs.  My clients are constantly asking what’s the newest with LED lighting because technology is moving quickly.  Well, this is it!  These bulbs are the perfect replacement for your 60-watt incandescents and last 25 times longer.  I put them to use in my diaster of an office.

My color scheme inspiration came from the peachy-coral Jan Showers’ designed bedroom.  I wanted a happy space.  A space I’d actually WANT to work in.  I can’t hardly wait to share the design and the “before” & “afters.”  Right now – SLEEP.  I’m exhausted…it was a crazy weekend!

Please note that this post is sponsored by SYLVANIA.  I have received compensation for participating but my review and opinions are my own.

Milly Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear

I’m dreaming of a moody non-home office where I can meet with clients and sport this fabulous outfit head to toe.  I decided to design said office…picture dark walls upholstered in a grey flannel with nailhead trim and this console…

Burl Wood & Lucite Console Table

“Graffiti Series Avenue K” by Nicole Cohen of Sketch42 would go above the console and this would be my desk…

Black Lacquer Campaign Style Desk

Comfort is key so I’d splurge on an Eames Management Chair I’d have forever.

A pair of CB2 Hancock Carbon Bookcases would store fabric samples, design books, magazines, client files etc!

A couple Red Moroccan Leather Poufs from Furbish would be scattered around for impromptu scheme selections sprawled out on the floor.

Of course I gotta have my sparkle – Sophia Chandelier by Jan Showers

A pair of these Drake Barrelback Chairs would be for guests.

I love this off kilter Vintage Moroccan Rug

I’m so obsessed with photography these days.  “Chanel,” Green, Ink Jet on Canvas by Steve Miller would be my gift to myself for my new office 🙂

Glass and Steel Desks

I have a weakness for glass/steel desks.

This desk resides in the perfect nook in our Bedroom (please excuse the photo – I really don’t like the composition, but I’m too lazy to take another pic – it’s been one of those days).

Wright Desk from Pottery Barn $699

This piece is fairly large could also be a great table!

Emily’s blogged about this one before from WS Home
