Gilt Tabletop Glamour!

Loving the white + gold tabletop selections on right now!  You could decorate your Christmas table with finds from Kelly Wearstler, L’Object, Kim Seybert, and more!

On my way back from a weekend in Austin, I stopped by the BIG antiques fair in Round Top, Texas and the surrounding towns.  I call it “Round Top,” but I end up spending most of my time in Warrenton.  “Excess” is one of my favorite locations, and there are certainly some great deals to be had.  The above space is one of my favorites, and I came home with a few things from there.  The proprietor is not one for customer service…grrr…but his goods are really unique and “on trend.”

Lots of tortoise shells!

I loved this HUGE fixture pulled from a Palm Beach hotel – it was made entirely of lucite.  Trashy or Classy??  Me loves!

So that’s my quick recap, I was only there for a few hours.  The show is still going strong so check it out if you can!

Coming Soon to One Kings Lane

Eeeeeee!!!! I’m so excited!  Madeline Weinrib is coming soon to One Kings Lane!  Has anyone bought anything from One Kings Lane??

I’m wondering if “accessories” includes lighting…

**** I guess it would be helpful if I told you where the sale was!  Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams!

Seeing as how my apartment is a chock-full of furniture, I’ve decided to put further furniture acquisitions on hold until we finally find a place to call our own (although I might get crafty with a headboard). My focus has been shifted towards accessories. I’ve spent way too much money snagging up accessories that are just so-so from major big-box chains and then hating them 6 months later. In fact, I have an entire walk-in closet full such impulse purchases. Now I’m focused on buying things I really love – flea market or high brow. Here are a few pics of my favorite accessories that I’ve had my eye on…

{I’d kill for these obelisks from Mrs. Howard – and the lamp for that matter}

After seeing Paloma’s post on these Penguin Classic books, I think these are a must have.

I’d take a Nola lamp in either color!

This lamp would be PERFECT in our Master Bedroom – I’ll take a pair!

I call these the Poor Man’s kaleidoscope! Great for on a wall or on a table.

This Iomoi tray is on my birthday list! It’s hard to pick just one tray!

Designer Gary Spain (see amazing photos – here) uses busts and boxes in this tablescape and I love both!

One of my favorite coffee table-scapes ever!

Last but not least, they may be a little creepy but these vintage glove molds are perfect for draping jewels!

I ordered these in navy, and I love them! They are on super sale right now, so get them while they’re still available!

Shelves on the Cheap

Perusing the Pottery Barn clearance section I spotted these bamboo shelves available in white in the 2′, 3′ and 4′ lengths for 24.99, 29.99, and 34.99 respectively! Now if I could only find a place for them (details, details)…

Jayson Home and Garden is having a pretty decent sale…here are my favorite furniture picks:

“Celeste” Settee $1299

“Clinton” Chair $850 – I really, really, like this chair in person.

“Gertrude” Chair, a steal at $499

“Miles” standout sectional $2999

“Sadie” sofa $1799, LOVE IT, almost makes me rethink this sofa I plan on ordering very soon (I really want a slipcovered sofa).

“Landau” sofa $1799, again LOVE IT, sooooo tempting!!! Not helping the whole inner dialogue I’ve been having with myself and anyone else that will listen: light colored slipcover vs. dark brown or pewter velvet…
