This Southern California bungalow was featured in the May issue of Sunset Magazine and belongs to the owners of the accessories & furniture online site “Shop Shine Home.”
Homeowners Russell & Susan Ortiz share the home with their four children and wanted a livable, functional place with the indoor-outdoor Californian lifestyle.
The kitchen floors are ultra-durable concrete inspired by the color of beach sand. The upholstery on the white ottoman is vinyl which can be easily wiped clean. Kitchen is open and airy with floating shelving and white subway tiles. I love the kitchen cabinet doors and hardware.
This console table can be found on her online store and also comes in black.
For the master bedroom, the inspiration was the palm covered wallpaper to give a tropical and fresh feel that looked clean and simple.
Tropical colors give this room the indoor/outdoor sunny feel which makes a great space for the kids to hang out. This orange vinyl loveseat can also be found on her site.

I have to tell you as a decorator, althought Shine Home merchandise may look nice in photos, I ordered something for a client and the finish was terrible! They replaced it and told me they had taken care of a problem in that area but it was still bad. I ended up eating the cabinet and had to buy my client a different one. VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!!!
