This past week the latest issue of Nesting Newbies online magazine was released with a very jam packed issue No 5. One of my favorite features was the “Vacation Inspiration” spread starting on page 152. The feature included a hot list of hotels and the furnishings inspired by them to create your own “Hotel to Room.”
Check out these great inspiration ideas to recreate that hotel to room look:
I love the glam and color scheme of The Lowes in New Orleans.
The Carlyle in New York has a really great graphic area rug and orange drapery panels, long admired Crate & Barrel’s starburst mirror.
The stunning entry of The Fairmont in San Francisco with it’s bold color scheme.
I thought it would be fun to do my own little recreation of a hotel and since a Los Angeles based hotel was not included – I thought I would feature one! The Palihouse in West Hollywood is a very chic boutique hotel – and has residences you can actually live in. Furnished residential pied-a-terres are available for six to twelve month stays.

A Chesterfield sofa from Restoration Hardware.
Block tables from CB2.
Union Jack pillows from Neiman Marcus.
Bertoia barstools from DWR.
What hotel would inspire you as a real room creation?
