Get in the Mood

Wednesday, April 07, 2010 | Category: Decorating, Design Inspiration, Fabric, Uncategorized

I was desperately trying to find a replacement fabric the other day for a solid cotton chintz that was originally going to cost me $8.95 per yard – a deal that’s hard to beat.  I placed the order thinking this was too good to be true and then received the dreaded call..”The fabric came in and there are multiple flaws..and this is the last of it b/c it has been discontinued.”  Low and behold, it was too good to be true.  So my search for a substitute began and the best i could come up with was three times the price.  This was not going to fly with my client.  Just as I was about to throw in the towel and break the bad news to my client, it hit me.  Mood!  You’ve seen it thousands of times on Project Runway and I’ve always thought of it as a fabric source for fashion but they’ve got a huge selection of home decor fabrics as well.  And it doesn’t stop there..you can find trims and pillow forms with just about any fill (down, polyester and environmentally friendly).   My search for the perfect substitute was over and Mood Fabrics  is now a go to source for just about anything.

I would have to make an extended trip and pack a suitcase (to keep in the store) because I wouldn’t be able to leave for days!

I hate it when you get excited or satisfied with something and then you get the product and all those happy feelings go out the window! Totally frustrating!
