Only 2 Days left!

You’ve got two days left to “wrap up” your Christmas shopping so I thought I’d give you a few last minute ideas.  Here are some suggestions that should be quick and easy if you’re the last minute type:

Candles are a great and quick gift to pick up.  It’s something most people don’t buy for themselves but they love them when they get them as a gift.  There are millions to choose from but make sure you spend the extra bucks – it’s worth the scent!

Who doesn’t love to treat themselves to a few frappacinos and spiced pumpkin lattes during the holidays?  Pick up a Starbucks gift card at your local Starbucks and give it to your favorite/over energized coffee drinker!

Hurricanes!  These are great to dress up a mantle, a table, a porch.  Crate and Barrel has great hurricanes at great prices so if there’s a C&B near you, you must pop in to grab some.

The Home Depot gift card is great for just about anyone but a sure bet for the men in your family

Got a wine drinker or someone who likes to entertain?  Wine can be the perfect way to say “Happy Holidays”

Pottery Barn has these classic box picture frames that would be adorable in any home

Everyone loves new throw pillows for any room in their house.  Look at your local boutiques as well as some of the mainstream retailers in town!

Got a kid going off to college or a room that needs a make-over?  How about a cute bed in a bag from Echo Home available at

This is another gift that’s good for the handy man in your life or your favorite decorator who’s always looking for his or her next tool to get the job done!

Happy Holidays to all and may 2011 be filled with much love and happiness!

All I want for Christmas is…

Posted By Rebecca-NY | Dec 08, 2010 | 11 Comments | Category: Uncategorized

There’s a lot to choose from out there especially when it comes to re-decorating your home or just adding a few new pops here and there.  I’ve given it some thought and if I could have anything at all for Christmas my list would include the following:

I’m starting on the less expensive side so you don’t think I’m getting too greedy this year but I could really use some solid, clean bookshelves from Ikea (stacked with all new design books of course!)

Who doesn’t want a soft and cuddly faux fur throw for these cold winter nights?  These throws from Pottery Barn are on sale for $119

Another Pottery Barn favorite are these silver plated hurricanes for $79

Scalloped and antiqued mirror from Ballard Designs for $299

Surya Fallon 8′ x 11′ area rug from House Accents for $765

A pair of Milano gold leafed side tables

Christopher Spitzmiller lamps.  Lots of them!

My own custom shaped and upholstered headboard.  Fabric is still TBD 🙂

One of Charlotte Moss’ new rugs

Tufted slipper chair

A painting by Leah Durner

Seda France Japanese Quince diffuser

Hope you’re all enjoying the holiday season and have been able to come up with your own wish lists or new home projects for 2011.  We’ll keep the ideas coming so keep check  in regularly.  Until then, happy shopping!
