Time to Entertain

If you’ve got a dinner party or something special on the horizon and you’re trying to decide just how to make it special, make sure you put some time and effort into the small details including the flowers, table setting and even the cocktail napkins that are being served with your drinks and hors d’oeuvres. You don’t need to spend a lot to make your evening special, you just need to spend some time doing it! Take a look at some of my favorite center pieces, bars and party details below. I’ll definitely be using some of these ideas for my next shindig!
I love how this bar is fully stacked with beverages and a bowl of candy for an extra treat as you refresh your drink
Throw a sprig of lavender or something sweet from your garden onto your place setting
Pre mixed drinks are always a hit because it’s less work for the guests. The mason jars add a special summery touch
Use a simple color scheme and find less expensive flowers that look absolutely stunning once you arrange them on the table
Don’t forget to add flowers to the bar – they’ll get noticed for sure!
Get creative with your votives and use seashells as candle holders
Be sure to serve something that’s fun and tasty and will be talked about for days like these fried raviolis!
Use the flowers from your farm to create a natural fresh arrangement
Use a variety of pretty cocktail napkins that are collecting dust in your closet or shop for something extra cute that might even have a personal message on it
Use your leftover chevron fabric and create a fun table runner
There are a million ideas out there and these are just a few. It’s a reminder to put a little extra effort into your party decor. If you’re gonna throw a party you want it to be a success so spend a little extra time on the details

Love the use of flowers! Fun and festive. I live in northern Michigan however, so ‘spring’ is usually in late June. Last spring (March) I had a party and used silk arrangements from http://www.silkplantsforever.com and the result was outstanding! There was still some snow on the ground outside, and the flowers signaled of the promise to come … not that it was necessarily ‘there’ yet, but it made a lovely contrast under the circumstances.
