Giving Thanks
It’s that time of year where the weather can be confusing, the foliage is in full swing and people are gearing up for the holidays. Thanksgiving is around the corner yet New York has already started to decorate for Christmas and Holiday songs have hit the air. Slow down! It’s definitely a cheerful time of year and there’s a lot to be thankful for so I’ve started to look around for some inspirational tablescapes — while I’m thankful for the food we eat on Thanksgiving, I can also appreciate a well set table full of color and good cheer.
I love the cactus and cabbage flowers in this centerpiece. It’s a nice break from your average floral arrangement
Candles are always a great way to “light up” a table
Baskets of foliage at their best
Bringing fruit on the table is a great reminder as to why we sit down and celebrate “thanks” with a meal
I love the idea of painting pumpkins white and marking it with a special statement or quote about what you’re thankful for
Mother nature has given us plenty to work with and Fall is the perfect season to use what she has given us
Pears are one my favorite fruits to incorporate in a table setting
I love the wheat on these simple place cards
More pumpkins – toned down with white and grey
Bunches of wheat are great for the table or mantle
Using fall colors helps create a natural, soothing environment
However you decide to dress your table this year I hope you enjoy the season and take time to count your blessings and share your appreciation with the people you are thankful to have in your life.
What day is it?
It’s today, squeaked Piglet
My favorite day, said Pooh
