A CB2 loft in NYC

Wednesday, June 11, 2014 | Category: Uncategorized

For the first time ever, CB2 brought Pinterest and the real world together by creating a loft space in Union Square in NYC.  The idea was to select five designers (see list below) who were to engage an audience on Pinterest using CB2 products.  They selected and pinned certain furnishings which were then voted on by active Pinterest users/followers.  The most popular items were chosen (liked) and incorporated into each designers space.  Voila!  – an apartment was born.  I had the pleasure of visiting the loft in Union Square to see how it all turned out and I have to say, I was very impressed with both the professional designers and Pinterest users choices. Together, they created a magnificent space that I would be more than happy to live in :)

As you can see, CB2 has a selection of pieces that are modern, bold and perfect for city living.  They wanted to introduce a program that would share their unique voice and show people that through experiment you can create wonderful spaces with bright colors by mixing and matching — not only furnishings but the design itself.  Together, these 5 designers were able to collaborate and make something magical.  CB2 took a chance on an innovative approach by asking Pinterest users to weigh in and have now proven how effective social media can be when it comes to design.  This new platform called Modern Together will be a great way to share new ideas and bring a voice to design and decorating.  Thanks to CB2 and Pinterest for this one of a kind approach.  I, for one, look forward to seeing what they experiment with next!
